Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a child welfare bill Monday in an effort to solve what he calls a “fatherhood crisis.” The bill helps support fathers, equipping them with resources to stay engaged in their children’s lives. It will also include $70 million in funding for a wide variety of family and youth support services through the Department of Children and Families, along with the department of juvenile justice. The governor says this will provide fathers with resources to stay engaged in their children’s lives.
