Rebecca Real, Licensed Master Social Worker
I have had the privilege of knowing Lisa on both a professional and personal level for the last 12 years. She is an extremely amazing, passionate, and well-rounded individual! Lisa possesses an array of knowledge of child welfare, relationship building, mental health treatment, and sex trafficking. She not only possesses in-depth knowledge of these areas, but she is able to connect that knowledge with a passion for advocacy that makes her stand out from the rest. Lisa has a dynamic and captivating personality which makes learning from her so easy. Despite all of her expertise, Lisa is extremely down to earth and she thrives off building strong relational foundations with everyone she encounters. She is just as passionate about learning as she is about teaching making her an ideal asset to anyone.
I met Lisa on a professional level while working in the child welfare field. In that profession, I relied on her knowledge and expertise to grow within the profession. Lisa was able to push me to grow not only professionally, but as an individual as well. When she works with people, she not only sees the value in the work that they are doing – she sees their value as an individual and works hard to promote individual growth that then feeds into professional growth. Lisa’s investment in people has allowed her to maintain strong connections across various professional arenas over time. Even though it has been years since I have worked with Lisa, I still rely on her professional knowledge and connections to effectively advocate for the populations that I serve.
It has been an honor to know Lisa over the last 12 years and to personally watch her blossom as a strong advocate and resource of our most vulnerable populations!
Mark Doty (Sergeant - Retired) Phoenix Police Department Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit
I first met Lisa six years ago while I was running a Human Trafficking Unit for the Phoenix Police Department and she was working as the Human Trafficking Coordinator for Mercy Care. At the time it was unusual for a Law Enforcement and Behavioral Health to collaborate. Little did we know it was exactly what was needed for us both. Lisa has an extensive background into the workings of the Department of Child Safety (DCS), the Foster Care system and the insurance side. Working collaboratively Lisa and I learned from each other in how to better serve victims of trafficking.
Lisa has a passion for training others in the identification and prevention of the victimization resulting from the exploitations around trafficking. As a law enforcement professional, I knew little of the behavioral health systems and treatment options that were available to help our youth population that had fallen victims of sex trafficking. Lisa was able to educate me hundreds of other law enforcement professionals throughout the state of Arizona in order to better serve. There is so much more that law enforcement can do to assist, and Lisa provided the knowledge and understanding of the barriers surrounding this arena.
I have had the honor and privilege of training with Lisa throughout the country concerning the systems around child sex trafficking. You will find no person more dedicated on the topic with a strong desire to help others learn from her vast experience. Whether you are a law enforcement professional, medical administrator, case worker or any other professional working to combat the horrific effects of the victimization of our youth from sex trafficking; Lisa is the person to learn from.
Jennifer Redmond Divine Sisters L.L.C
I have had the pleasure of working and collaborating in the facilitation and training/instructional development as it relates to youth in the Foster Care System. Lisa has also provided countless training opportunities to group home staff throughout the valley to increase their knowledge in the behavioral health systems well as identifying, protecting and helping with treatment options for our youth who have experienced Sex Trafficking.
Lisa focuses on trying to improve society's response to individuals who have experienced trauma, victimization and other complex experiences through her trainings. Her trainings are designed to increase identification of those vulnerable to an exploited by trafficking, and improve the response of child-serving professionals. Her vision, perspective and passion is insightful, lively, applicable and professional. She challenges you to think differently and look at things in a different perspective.
Lisa has an established over her long career as a person with a strong conscience and big heart for children served in our systems and has nurtured and cultivated many relationships throughout the county and state with administrators, group home owners and managers, clinicians, primary care workers, case managers, law enforcement and families. She is authentic and tells wonderful anecdotes about her experiences in the child welfare and behavioral health systems. She is an ambassador of both systems and is a good spokesperson for the opportunities and benefits of integrated care.
Whether you are a novice learner or a expert about foster kids/at risk youth and sex trafficking, you want to attend ALL of Lisa Lucchesi’s Children Sex Trafficking trainings. I met her over 5 years ago when I worked for the Department of Child Safety (DCS) as a Business Operations Trainer/Developer. I learned a great deal from her about how the various DCS departments operate & how to help foster parents learn how to maneuver each system & get their foster kids needs met in a timely fashion.
Lisa is one of a kind person! You will be blessed to have a lovely person like her advocating for you! Please do yourself a favor and attend one of her training sessions as soon as possible! I guarantee you, you will not regret it! It will be one of your best decisions you have made in a long time!
